Vlachodimos was born in Germany and represented them at various youth levels before switching his allegiance to Greece, for whom he has now been capped six times at senior level.
Having started out at VfB Stuttgart, Vlachodimos joined Panathinaikos in 2016 before moving to Benfica two years later.
